Manifesto

Typography/Print

Art, and by extension, literature, has been used throughout history to express almost anything. Such mediums allow our imaginations to run free and to then create compelling narratives. However, a good majority of art work and movements were not well received, as seen with the censorship throughout history. People and/or institutions, especially those with great power, enforce their moral compass onto the public and define what is moral and what isn’t.

I chose three excerpts/manifestos from Oscar Wilde and used typography to explore the dichotomy between moral and immoral, sin and innocence, perfect and imperfect. Is it just really just one or the other, or is there any in between/middle ground? Should everything be put out there?
